There is now 2 ways to rotate an image.
1. Similar to other programs you can click on the blue dot above the element and drag your mouse into the desired rotation.
2. To rotate a shape, image, chart or any other element on a slides canvas go to the 2nd tab in the element menu to the right. You may use this dialog to set the X and Y location of the top-left corner, the width, the height, and the rotation of each element as follows:
X: Positions the left edge of the element in pixels.
Y: Positions the top edge of the element in pixels.
Width: Sets the width of the element in pixels.
Height: Sets the height of the element in pixels.
Rotation: Sets the rotation of the element in degrees either by dragging in the circle, by entering a number in the box. Hold the Shift-key down to constrain to 45-degree increments
