Exporting a Presentation to PowerPoint (BETA)

SlideRocket offers the ability to export presentations as PowerPoint files. This feature is currently in BETA. Like with video files, when presentation files are translated from one format to another some features may not be perfectly preserved. For this reason it is recommended that the PowerPoint export feature be used only when all further work on the presentation will be done in PowerPoint. A workflow that involves importing a presentation back and forth between SlideRocket and PowerPoint is not recommended. Trial, Pro, and Enterprise users can export presentations as PowerPoint files.

SlideRocket offers two options for viewing a presentation offline: the Desktop Presenter and Portable Presentation. For an overview of SlideRocket’s offline viewing options click here

Exporting a Presentation to PowerPoint

  1. Click on the desired presentation in the Presentation Library
  2. Click on Download
  3. Click on PowerPoint
  4. If nothing is clicked, the processing menu will remain visible until the export has finished processing. Once the export has finished click OK to automatically download and save the PowerPoint file to your computer
  5. A link to the exported presentation will also appear in your email inbox titled Your SlideRocket export is ready to be downloaded. Click on the link in the email to download the presentation

ADVANCED NOTES

  • Only one export per customer at a time. For example, if you are exporting one presentation to a PowerPoint file, you cannot export any other presentations, including that one, until the export finishes
  • The presentation link is only available for 24 hours after which point it will need to be reexported

John -

Export to a PDF and printing are available in the Lite version.  Export to PowerPoint and the other Offline Players are only available with the Trial or Pro version.  You can sign up for a free 14-day trial of the Pro features if you would like to try out the various export options.  You won't be charged as long as you downgrade before the end of the 14 days.
