SlideRocket users can add videos from YouTube into their presentations. SlideRocket does not import video into the Media Library. The video is pulled from YouTube when the presentation is played or the slide is opened. YouTube videos will only play in a presentation if the computer is connected to the Internet. The Desktop Presenter and Portable Presentation do not support YouTube videos in presentations. All of the video customizations available in SlideRocket can be applied to a YouTube video.

Adding YouTube Videos

YouTube videos can be accessed by clicking the Video icon video2.png in the Element Toolbar, located on the left-hand side of the canvas within the Presentation Editor. Changes can also be made to Library Slides and Slide Groups using the Slide Editor.

  3. Click YouTube tab
  4. Paste full, direct URL of YouTube video into box

ADVANCED NOTES:

  • Only the full, direct link to YouTube video can be inserted into the asset browser. Please be careful not to use a shortened version of the link, the embed code provided by YouTube, or a link to a user page or private video as those will not be processed correctly by SlideRocket
  • YouTube can also be accessed from the Flash and Picture options
  • The following transitions are picture-based transitions and are not supported if there is a YouTube video on the slide: CrossFade, Iris, MoveIn, Reveal, and PageTurn
