SlideRocket’s Plugins allow users to add web content to presentations. Use plugins to add quotes, animations, real-time data, social media content and definitions. The plugins can be accessed by clicking the Plugin icon plugin.png in the Element Toolbar, located on the left-hand side of the canvas, within the Presentation Editor. Changes can also be made to Library Slides and Slide Groups using the Slide EditorOnce on the slide, each plugin is customizable. 

 

There are 5 Plugins

                   

 

The Quotes Plugin

Use Quotes Plugin to find quote to add to presentation. Once added to slide, text in quote can be edited and customized like any other text.

Adding a Quote to a Slide

  1. Click Plugin icon plugin.png in Presentation Editor
  2. Select Quotes from list of plugins
  3. Enter word or phrase in Search box and click Search
  4. Use Prev Page, Next Page buttons and scroll bar to locate desired quote
  5. Select quote and click Ok
  6. Edit and customize text using Element Properties Panel. For information about how to customize text click here 

 

 

The Snow Plugin

The Snow Plugin overlays an animation resembling falling snow on the slide. This animation is customizable and can be used to generate a wide range of effects. 

To add plugin to slide, select Snow from list of plugins.

Customizing the Snow Plugin

  • Type: Set shape of falling objects in plugin. Select Circle (default), Ring, Star, Dollar Sign, or Snowflake
  • Count: Set number of objects visible at any time
  • Size: Set average size of objects
  • Size Variation: Set how much size of objects can vary from average
  • Color: Set color of objects
  • Opacity Variation: Set how much opacity of objects vary
  • Speed: Set average speed at which objects fall
  • Variability: Set how much speed of objects vary
  • Rotate: Set how fast objects rotate as they fall
  • Wind: Set horizontal direction and speed that objects drift in as they fall. If Wind is set to negative number, objects drift left as they fall. If Wind is set to positive number, objects drift right
  • Use Motion Blur: Make animation smoother


ADVANCED NOTE: Because the Snow Plugin overlays the entire slide, elements underneath the plugin cannot be selected by clicking on them. To select elements underneath the Snow Plugin, use the Elements menu. This menu is accessed by going to View > Show Slide Elements

 

 

The StockQuote Plugin

The StockQuote Plugin supplies real-time stock feed for  company selected by user.

Adding the StockQuote Plugin

  1. Click Plugin icon plugin.png in Presentation Editor
  2. Select StockQuote from list of plugins
  3. Enter ticker symbol for company in Symbol box on right (searchable list of ticker symbols can be found here)
  4. Adjust placement and background of StockQuote using Element Properties Panel


ADVANCED NOTE: StockQuote Plugin is not supported when presentation is played offline.

 

 

The TwitterFeed Plugin

The TwitterFeed plugin supplies real-time twitter feed for any twitter search term.

Adding the TwitterFeed Plugin

    1. Click Plugin icon plugin.png in Presentation Library
    2. Select TwitterFeed from list of plugins
    3. Enter search term to generate twitter feed

    4. Adjust placement and background color of TwitterFeed using Element Properties Panel

 

Showing Specific Twitter Profiles

    1. Click Plugin icon plugin.png in Presentation Editor
    2. Select TwitterFeed from list of plugins
    3. Type from: in the search box, followed by desired user's name

For example, to show all tweets from @SlideRocket, type from:SlideRocket. For more information on using twitter search click here

 

ADVANCED NOTES: 

  • The TwitterFeed Plugin is not supported when presentation is played offline
  • All twitter search operators are supported by the TwitterFeed Plugin. For a list of twitter search operators click here
  • The twitter feed can be paused during a presentation by clicking Pause in the lower left-hand corner of the plugin

 

 

The WordDefinition Plugin

The WordDefinition Plugin provides a definition for any word or phrase entered by the user. Once added to a slide, the text in a definition can be edited and customized like any other text.

Adding a Word Definition to a Slide

  1. Click Plugin icon plugin.png in Presentation Library
  2. Select WordDefinition from list of plugins
  3. Enter word or phrase into Word box and click Define
  4. Select definition from list and click Ok
  5. Edit and customize text using Element Properties Panel. For more information about how to customize text click here
