Slide Aspect Ratios

SlideRocket allows users to select from several Slide Aspect Ratio options when creating a presentation, slide or slide group. Presentations and slides with different aspect ratios can be combined, taking on the aspect ratio of the file from which you are working.

Aspect Ratio Options

There are several Slide Aspect Ratio options

  • Standard 4:3 (default)
  • Widescreen 16:9
  • Apple 16:10
  • Portrait 9:16 
  • Print 8.5 x 11
  • Custom Resolution

 

ADVANCED NOTES

  • SlideRocket Slide Canvas dimensions are 800x600 or 4:3. Any dimension chosen will rescale for best viewing

Combining Different Aspect Ratios in a Presentation

SlideRocket library slides and presentations can be added to presentations that have different aspect ratios. The aspect ratio of the library slide or presentation being dragged in will be changed to the aspect ratio of the open presentation.

 

Adding Library Slide to Presentation with Different Aspect Ratio

  1. Open presentation in Presentation Editor
  2. Click Library library.png
  3. Drag desired library slide to Slide Tray
  4. If aspect ratio is different, pop-up will appear
    mismatchedaspect.png
  5. Select option
    • Yes: Add copy of library slide to presentation and automatically adjust elements to match presentation
    • No: Insert slide without adjusting its elements
    • Cancel: Do not add slide

 

ADVANCED NOTE: Elements on converted slide will remain the same size and will automatically center. Larger content may hang off the edge of the canvas.

 

 

Combining Presentations with Different Aspect Ratios

  1. Open presentation in Presentation Editor
  2. Click Library library.png next to Slide Tray
  3. Drag desired presentation to Slide Tray

 

ADVANCED NOTE: If the aspect ratios of the 2 presentations are different, the aspect ratio of the presentation being dragged in will adjust to match the other presentation. The elements on the slides will remain the same size and will automatically center. Larger content may hang off the right edge of the canvas.
