Sliderocket is great. However, to add a new image from the web, you currently need to do the following:
download your image locally
add a picture object
click that object
upload your picture to the media folder
find and select this picture
It would therefore be extremely convenient if you could provide a feature to add by URL in addition to uploading from a local computer. It could work like this:
add a picture object
click it and choose "add by URL" ("add from Media library" is also an option)
paste in your URL
now the image appears, and in the background is also added to your Media library in an auto-generated folder of the same name as the current presentation
This would go a long way towards making editing as easy as in Powerpoint/Keynote.

Sorry for typo above [ correction] "It's truly unfortunate that while as great as I think SlideRocket is, it still lacks this essential feature.
Guess I can't edit a comment once it's posted.
Thnx again, - Joe B.

This would be awesome for any resource: pix, docs, videos, audio. Those of us using Amazon S3 or CDNs for handling our (large media rich/server intensive) content need this ability built-in. It's truly unfortunate that while as great as I think SlideRocket is, lit still acks this essential feature. Big bummer, since it's fairly standard in many other "rich media" platforms and is even the free presentation service at www.280slides.com (see attached). So hopefully it can become less of a feature request and more of a priority in the immediate future. Fingers crossed but until then, unfortunately, I need to stay with the free account (or use alternate solutions) until I can use all my S3 media at will. :(
