When a presentation or link gives the message “Presentation not found” it can mean several things. A list of possible causes and fixes are below.

The presentation is not public

If the presentation used to be public but is now private, any links to or embeds of the presentation will no longer work. Make the presentation public again using the following steps.

  1. Click presentation in Presentation Library
  2. Click Share
  3. Click Publish
  4. Check box next to This presentation is public

The presentation is being reshared and is not public

The reshare feature uses the public link so if the presentation is private resharing will not work and the link will display presentation not found. To ensure that a reshared link loads the presentation correctly, make the presentation public using the following steps.

  1. Click presentation in Presentation Library
  2. Click Share
  3. Click Publish
  4. Check box next to This presentation is public

The presentation link is inaccurate

One reason a presentation link may be inaccurate is if the original link ended in a punctuation mark and was then pasted into another program such as an email. Many email programs, as well as other programs, assume that any punctuation at the end of the link should not be included and cuts it out when the link is clicked. When this happens the SlideRocket link is incomplete and the presentation will not load. To ensure that this does not happen when the link is sent to others, we recommend customizing the link in SlideRocket to remove the punctuation at the end. This can be done using the following steps.

  1. Click presentation in Presentation Library
  2. Click Share
  3. Click Publish
  4. Click Get public link...
  5. Click Customize link...
  6. Remove punctuation from end of link
  7. Click Yes when prompted
  8. Click OK
  9. Click Close

The presentation is linked to or embedded in a platform that doesn’t support SlideRocket

The most commonly used platform that doesn’t fully support SlideRocket is Joomla. As a workaround we currently recommend embedding the presentation in a non-Joomla website and then linking to that website.

If the presentation does not fit any of the situations above and still gives the message Presentation not found send an email to support@sliderocket.com. Include the link that is being clicked or the website URL where the presentation is embedded. If the link is being clicked in an email please forward the original email to support@sliderocket.com.
