Customizing the public link allows the user to create a simpler presentation link for viewers to access a presentation. Embedded presentations and invitations will use the full presentation link.  

 

The default composition of a presentation link looks like this:

ww.w.portal.sliderocket.com/DefaultCompanyPortalName/Presentation-Title

 

There are two parts of the public link that can be customized: Company Portal Name and Presentation Title. The default Company Portal Name is a random string of 5 capital letters. The default Presentation Title is the title of the presentation. All users can customize the Presentation Title. Only Pro and Enterprise users can customize the Company Portal Name.

 

ADVANCED NOTE: All punctuation marks and special characters will be removed from public links as they are not recognized by some browsers and many email clients.

 

Customizing the Presentation Title in the Link

1. Open presentation from Presentation Library 
2. Click Share
3. Click Publish
4. Select This presentation is public if it is not already selected
5. Click Get public link...
   
6. Click Customize link...
   
7. Type text in box to replace Presentation Title
8. Click OK
9. Click Apply Changes

 

ADVANCED NOTE: Changing the Presentation Title in a public link will not change the title of the presentation. 

 

Setting the Company Portal Name

The Company Portal Name can only be changed by administrators. 

1. Click account
2. Click Company Settings
3. Click Change company portal name...
   
4. Type new company portal name in box
5. Click OK

 

ADVANCED NOTE: Changing the Company Portal Name after the presentation is published will deactivate any previous presentation links.
