Not all SlideRocket features are supported on the iPad and iPhone while other features are partially supported but behave differently on the iPad and iPhone than on a PC. It is important to take these differences into consideration when designing presentations to be viewed on these devices. A complete list of support differences between PC and iPad/iPhone playback can be found below. If a feature is not listed it is fully supported.

iPad and iPhone Support for Presentation Features

  • Audio
    • Both presentation soundtrack and slide audio are supported on iPad, however due to iOS limitation, both cannot play at the same time. If a presentation contains both presentation soundtrack and slide audio, the presentation soundtrack will play until there is a slide with audio, then the presentation soundtrack will stop and the slide audio will play. The presentation soundtrack will not restart when the slide audio finishes
    • Audio on builds is not supported
    • Advance when audio/video is finished
  • Video
    • MP4 videos are supported on iPad
    • FLV videos are not supported on iPad
    • If there is video and audio on the same slide, only the audio track from the video will play. If there is both presentation soundtrack and video in a presentation, the presentation soundtrack will play until there is a slide with video, then the presentation soundtrack will stop and the video will play
    • Due to iOS limitations it is not possible to swipe on top of a video. If the viewer needs to manually advance a slide with video, leave space at the top or bottom of the presentation for them to do so
    • Autoplay of video is not supported on iPad. The viewer will always need to tap the video to start it
    • Videos cannot be layered behind other elements on the iPad. The video will always move to the top layer
  • YouTube Videos
    • YouTube videos are supported when the presentation is played back in a browser. YouTube videos are not supported when the presentation is played back in the SlideRocket App
  • SWFs
    • SWFs are not supported on iPad. Any SWF will display a static image
  • Charts and Tables
    • Chart roll-overs are not supported
    • When a presentation is cached on the iPad App, dynamically updating Google Charts and Tables will show data from when the presentation was cached
  • Plugins
    • Dictionary and Quote plugins are supported
    • StockQuote Plugin is represented as a static image
    • Twitter and Snow plugins are not supported
