Admin Role: Admins can view and edit all presentations created by users within their company depending on their SlideRocket package. Admins can add or delete users from a company account and change permissions

 

Analytics: Displays a summary of the average time spent on each slide in a presentation. It also shows the location of each person who views a presentation, their time spent looking at each slide, poll results and if the presentation was re-shared

 

Asset: A Picture, Flash, Video or Audio sample that is added to a presentation. Once an asset is placed onto a slide it becomes an element on that particular slide. For example, when a picture is uploaded into SlideRocket it is an asset. When it is assigned it to a slide, it is a picture element

 

Background: What appears behind the layout. It may be a solid color, a picture, a fill, or a gradient. For example, the same layout may be used with a black background on one slide, a gray background on a second slide, and a picture background on a third

 

Bullet: A heavy dot ( • ) to accent points and sub-points

 

Canvas: The space on a slide to add elements, effects, transitions and builds

 

Collaborate: To provide Edit or View access to other SlideRocket users

 

Company: The group of users in which you can share presentations, slides, and assets. Someone does not need to be in your company to view a presentation

 

Custom Bullet: Build customized bullets by selecting type, color and sub-levels

 

Custom Theme: A custom theme is created by a user and can be edited or shared with other users

 

Dashboard

Presentations: Displays summary, share, collaborate, analytics, meeting, history, tags and export information

Slides, Slide Groups, Assets: Displays where it is currently used, who is shared with, type and name. It also allows you to set collaboration permissions

 

Editor: After the login process, the default page is the Presentation Editor. From here, access the Presentation Editor, Slide Editor, Media Editor and Theme Editor. Click on a particular presentation or slide to edit and it will open a page with the option to edit

 

Element: Something that has been placed onto a slide, like a text box, a picture, a chart, or a table. An asset is referred to as an element once it has been placed onto a slide. For example, when a picture is uploaded into SlideRocket it is a picture asset. Once it has been assigned it to a slide, it is a picture element

 

Element-Specific Properties Panel: Appears when an element on a slide has been clicked. Four tabs with options appear, the first tab is specific to the element

 

Filter: A way to sort items in a library. Use the keywords feature to sort items as well

 

Full Player: Plays the presentation outside the Presentation Editor using the Publish feature or Meet feature

 

Gap: Space between bullet and text 

 

Groups: A collection of users. Admin can set up groups to easily share items with a variety of users

 

Hang: Space under bullet when text wraps to make a new line

 

Indent: Where the bullet and text start

 

Invite: Share a presentation with people by sending individual invites. Only someone who is invited can view a particular invite. Details of when the presentation was viewed are recorded here

 

Keywords: Create keywords and assign to slides, presentations, and assets. Search is by title or keyword

 

Layout: Defines how elements are arranged on a slide. For example, add a text box for the slide title along the top, another text box for bullet points in the body of the slide, and a picture on the right

 

Library: Where all presentations, slides, themes and assets are saved

 

Library Slide: A slide that can be used in multiple presentations and automatically updates in each presentation it is used in when changes are made

 

Library Menu: The first page after login. From here, select a Presentation, Asset, Theme, Slide, Create a Presentation, Import a PowerPoint or Download the Offline Player. Return to this page by selecting the SlideRocket Logo

 

Menu Bar: The menu bar in the upper-left corner by the SlideRocket Logo

 

Numbered Bullet: Similar to basic bullets, numbered bullets are used to accent points. Instead of the heavy dot, various numbering methods are available for use

 

Picture Placeholder: Predefined space on a slide layout for pictures only

 

Placeholder: Predefined space on a slide layout for Text, Assets, Charts, etc

 

Presentation: A group of slides. See and manage all of the presentations that you have created in the library. Publish, Invite, and Meet are some options to Share presentations

 

Preview Player: Playing a presentation within the Presentation Editor

 

Publish: Make a presentation available to view outside of the SlideRocket Presentation Editor. From here a user can apply restrictions such as Password, Printing and Sharing. Once a presentation is published the statistics can be logged

 

Share: How to distribute a presentation via a link

 

Slide: One "page" in the presentation

 

SlideRocket: Web application that provides everything you need to design professional quality presentations, manage and share libraries of slides and assets, and deliver presentations in-person or remotely on the Web 

 

Slide Tray: The bar across the bottom of the presentation where the slide thumbnails are located

 

Standard User Role: SlideRocket user type that can have restrictions applied to it

 

Tag: Keyword applied to a presentation, slide, slide group, asset or theme to make it easier to search or filter within a library

 

Theme: Defines the default slide information such as background or layout 

 

Toolbar: The menu bar to the far left that holds elements to add to a slide canvas

 

Users and Groups: Set up others with access to SlideRocket so to share select presentations in your library

 

View Slide History: Shows previous saved versions of slides

 

Wrapping text: When the line of text is so long in continues into the space below the line

 

Zoom: Located in the lower-left corner, it allows you to zoom in or out on a slide canvas
