Ever wonder how to make elements on your slide animate? Have them appear and disappear? This guide details how to use build and animations in your SlideRocket presentation.
Builds animate elements onto and off of a slide. They can animate together or individually, animate automatically or when clicked on and be set to audio.
There are two types of Builds. Build In animates elements onto the slide. Build Out animates the element off of the slide. Build In and Build Out can be mixed to have an element appear, disappear and then a new element appear in its place.
ADVANCED NOTE: Multiple builds can be added to the same element.
Once a build is added to an element it can be customized. All builds are listed under the Builds tab and the selected element’s build is highlighted in green. The ability to customize is dependent on the type of element selected.
ADVANCED NOTE: If an element is rotated, it will fly in from the direction of the rotation.
Also, effects do not require the build before they are applied. If an element has the Sonar Effect, the rings will appear before the build animates onto the slide.
Bullets provide an additional set of options for animating text. The rules below apply to a text box with bullets or paragraphs, shapes with text and placeholders.
· It is important to note that if the build is set to By Bullet, the next build number will be increased by how many bullets are showing. For example, if there is a text box with four bullets set to build in By Bullet, the next build will show as number 5 even though it is in the second spot
To adjust the order builds animate, drag and drop the build into the desired order.
ADVANCED NOTE: Other builds can be reordered here as well and do not require steps 1 through 3.
The Preview button displays how the builds will animate when the presentation is played.
To see how builds will animate in the context of a presentation, the presentation will need to be played. There are two types of players in SlideRocket. The first is the Preview Player. This is the player that is accessed after logging into SlideRocket. It gives a sample of how the presentation will animate. To play from the preview player, there are the following options:
The second is the Full Player. This is the version that plays from the published link, invitation or remote meeting.
If a build is set to animate on click then there will be a pulsing circle in the player when SlideRocket is waiting for the click to animate the build.
ADVANCED NOTE: If there is a large audio file with the build there may be a slight delay because of the time required for the file to load.
Builds are easy to remove.
